Die GCLD Getriebekupplung mit Tonnenverzahnung ist für den direkten Anschluss an Elektromotoren vorgesehen und läuft daher mit höherer Drehzahl bei kompakter Bauweise mit niedrigem Trägheitsmoment. Sie gleicht axiale, radiale und winklige Versätze aus und wird häufig dort eingesetzt, wo die Motorwelle direkt in den Antrieb ragt.
